FIG 1.0: ISO-1 "NULL CORE" — SUB-PPM UNIFORMITY OVER 50 CM BORE
ISO-1 "NULL CORE" (1T)
Extreme Homogeneity — Active Shimming
A precision-machined superconducting solenoid with Halbach sphere winding geometry to minimize edge effects. Layer 1: Superconducting Meissner Shield expels external fields. Layer 2: Active shimming coil array driven by feedback control—Hall probes sample the field at 100 kHz and inject correction currents to cancel thermal drift, vibration, and mechanical creep. Target: sub-ppm uniformity over a 50 cm bore, competitive with high-end research MRI and NMR systems.
FIG 2.0: CRYO-10 "ROVER BLOCK" — 10T IN A PELICAN CASE
CRYO-10 "ROVER BLOCK" (10T)
The Ruggedized Brick — No-Insulation REBCO
A matte-black anodized aluminum block with fractal cooling fins. Size of a Pelican case. REBCO tape wound bare, turn-to-turn—no insulation. Heat spreads instantly across the coil instead of creating hot spots. Diamond Heat Spreaders linked to a solid-state Stirling Cryocooler. You plug it into a wall outlet. A 10T field you can throw in the back of a truck.
FIG 3.0: CHRONOS-100 "IRON HORSE" — 100T PULSED FIELD PLATFORM
FIG 4.0: MEGA-1K — FORCE-FREE FIELD GEOMETRY (THEORETICAL CONCEPT)
CHRONOS-100 "IRON HORSE" (100T PULSED)
Pulsed High-Field Platform — Zylon Overwrap + Vortex Pinning
A reinforced solenoid with titanium bracing rated for repeated 100T pulses (10 ms duty cycle). At 100T, magnetic pressure hits 4 GPa—beyond the yield strength of copper and most structural steels. REBCO tape co-wound with Zylon fiber (stronger than Kevlar, electromagnetically transparent) carries the mechanical load. Engineered nano-defects in the superconductor pin magnetic vortices in place, preventing resistive dissipation during the pulse. Sustained field between pulses: 40T. Development roadmap: 20T sustained (current) → 50T hybrid (near-term) → 100T pulsed (target). Primary application: plasma compression for Stellar Furnace fusion research.
MEGA-1K (1000T — THEORETICAL CONCEPT)
Force-Free Field Geometry — Beltrami Fields
At 1,000T, magnetic pressure reaches 400,000 atmospheres—no known material can contain this mechanically. The only theoretical path: Force-Free Topology, where current (J) flows parallel to the field lines (B). When J ∥ B, the Lorentz force drops to zero. This requires coils wound in twisted helical patterns (Beltrami fields). This is a theoretical research concept, not a product. Realization would require breakthroughs in room-temperature superconductors, structural materials, and power systems that do not yet exist. The MEGA-1K exists as a design study to identify what those breakthroughs would need to look like.
